crypto app

Summary

  • Designed and shipped dtcpay’s crypto wallet app in 9 months.

  • Created a scalable design system with 551 components.

  • Increase user base by 225%

  • Increase transaction volume by 180%

My Role

Lead Product Designer, lead a team of 3

  • Oversaw the entire end-to-end design process, including product discovery, UX flows, UI design, animation direction, and design QA

  • Worked cross functionally with product managers, and offshore engineering team to define our workflow

Discovery

Conducted workshops and user interviews to understand what is dtcpay’s value proposition. Users I interviewed wanted to know more about the licenses we have before signing up.

User research

Produced rapid wireframes and leveraged Maze testing to assess how users moved through key flows, helping us confirm that the foundational user journey was clear before moving into high-fidelity design.

Design system

I built dtcpay’s entire design system from the ground up. The system included 550+ reusable components, tokens for color and typography, motion guidelines, and multi-state UI patterns. This not only established our visual language but also created a shared source of truth for design and engineering.

Design

Created a unified visual language in light and dark modes, supported by motion guidelines and purposeful animations. These interactions were intentionally designed to  create a smoother, more intuitive flow across the app.
